If you hang your purse on the back of your chair, it’s an easy target for thieves. There may not be room for it on the table, and you might not want to get scone crumbs on your Fendi.
Enter the purse hook. My favorite coffee shop is one of a few places that has thoughtfully installed purse hooks at their bar. For other venues, grab yourself a portable purse hook. I bought mine from Etsy. It’s not super sturdy but it gets the job done, and it folds into a neat disc shape so you can carry it in (drumroll please) your purse.
What about backpacks? If you leave your backpack on the floor you may trip over it, not have enough legroom under your desk, or watch the backpack get grundgy over time. In extreme cases, your lunch may be eaten by the office dog.
The best-designed backpack hooks have “arms” that you can hang the backpack straps from. This offers more stability and avoids wear and tear on the loop. The backpack hook I use and recommend can be installed on the edge of your desk without tools, is easily removed, and is sturdy.
