It’s the same color as the bedspread. Also, I’m not the only person who hides it.
Fortunately, Bluetooth trackers (my favorite is Tile) have solved your problem for you. In addition to the original keychain version, Tile makes a stick-on version. Stick one of these puppies onto your remote control and you’ll never lose it for too long (as long as you don’t also lose your smartphone).
This works well for TV remote controls, and it will save you a lot of trouble for air conditioner or air source heat pump remote controls, which are much more difficult to replace. If your remote control is on a bracket, you’ll need to stick the Tile on the front of it. Ugly, but beats trying to convince a customer service rep at Hitachi to mail you a remote control. Ask me how I know.
Bonus points for naming your remote controls. One of ours is named “Mother Ship” and we haven’t rechristened “Living room TV remote” yet…
