Even if you label the top of each container, other critters in your house (cough, cough, love of your life…) may not notice their favorite food is ready and waiting for them.
You can fix that by folding an index card or small sheet of paper into a place card–like shape and sitting it on top of the container. You won’t be able to do this with all your containers if you have a stack of them, but if you’ve got one or two items you’re hoping will get consumed by others, this is the way to go.
