Volunteering - No Strings Attached

Are your altruistic impulses often curbed because you can’t make an ongoing commitment to volunteering?

In Eventbrite, you can find day-long or hour-long volunteer events. The easiest way:

  • Enter “this week” in “I want to go out…”
  • Enter the largest city near your current location
  • Leave “And I’m in the mood for…” set to “Anything.”
  • At the top of the results page that appears, type “volunteer events” where you see “Search anything.”

Assuming you’re near a vibrant enough community, you’ll likely pull up a smorgasbord of low-commitment opportunities to volunteer your time, as well as some ways of getting involved that may surprise you. Random fun If you really don’t want to be hit up for future giving opportunities, grab a name from this list of 1000 fake names. Unlike sketchy websites that offer a complete set of fake identity information, this one just generates 1000 different random names every time it loads. Perfect if you’d like to be “Willow Barton” or “Noah Salgado” for an afternoon!
